$360M Powerball jackpot creates frenzy

Georgia Lottery officials say the jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing is now at $360 million. The Powerball jackpot has rolled over 12 times since April 3.

It's the third highest jackpot in the game's history, and it could all go to one winner.

One DeKalb County store owner told FOX 5 that plenty of people have been coming in to purchase a ticket for their chance at the big prize.

Some ticket buyers speculated on what they would do with the money if they won. Some said they would buy a new car, or take a lavish vacation. One person said he would build a shelter for dogs.

Some people in other states were willing to make a drive over to Tallapoosa, Ga. for a shot at the millions. The town is located about five miles from Alabama's state line, where there is no lottery.

The winning numbers are: 2, 34, 11, 41, 26 with Powerball 32

William Parker said he drove about an hour to the Pilot gas station in Tallapoosa to get a ticket.

Powerball officials say the odds of winning the jackpot are 195 million to 1. To put it into perspective, they say you are 251 times more likely to get hit by lightning than win the jackpot.

No one won Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot and the jackpot for the next drawing is now $190 million.
