2 split $190M Mega Millions jackpot

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

So much for those dreams that many Illinoisans had, of enjoying the upcoming Memorial Day holiday with an extra couple hundred million dollars. After repeated rollovers, to the point where the estimated grand prize reached $190 million, someone -- two players, actually -- matched all the numbers drawn in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing. Those two players, one in New Jersey and one in Virginia, will split the jackpot, each winding up with $95 million, according to the Illinois Lottery.

The winning numbers in Friday night's drawing were: 11 - 15 - 35 - 43 and 49, and the Mega Ball number was 41.

The closest anyone in Illinois came to the jackpot were the 158 players who matched four of five numbers, and the 189 players who matched three of five numbers and the Mega Ball, according to the Illinois Lottery. These players will each receive $150.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be held on Tuesday, with a comparatively paltry jackpot of $12 million.

For those who'd like to keep dreaming of becoming a multi-millionaire, many times over, there is still the Powerball drawing on Saturday night, with a record estimated jackpot of $600 million.
