LOCATED: Mentally handicapped woman missing from SW Side

A mentally handicapped woman who went missing Friday from the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side has been found and returned home.

Veronica Arellano, 19, was last seen at 2:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of West 63rd Street, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

She has the mental capacity of an 11-year-old, the alert said.

Arellano is described as Hispanic with a medium complexion, 4-feet-9, 124 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, the alert said.

She was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans and black Nike gym shoes, the alert said.
