DETROIT (WJBK) -

Detroit police believe a man in a surveillance photo is responsible for a kidnapping, carjacking, sexual assault and armed robbery on the city's east side.

Fox 2 told you last week about a 26-year-old woman in town from New York. During her visit to Detroit, she happened upon a homeless woman on Woodward near Willis near the Majestic Theatre appearing to be in need of help. She offered her some cash hoping to be able to lend her a hand, but her good deed ended way beyond bad.

Police say a man saw it as his opportunity to strike. When the victim walked back to her rental car, the unsuspecting woman was hit in the head, forced into a car, and made to withdraw money from her bank account. She was then driven to another location where we are told she was forced to perform oral sex.

In all the horror and fear, the victim managed to escape running down the street naked and terrified. She eventually made it to safety and police. She was treated at a hospital and released. Her rental car was recovered, but it's the suspect, possibly nicknamed "T," that police are after now.

Detectives believe the suspect is in his thirties. If you have any information, call police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
