Tornado Warning for Sullivan County expires

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The National Weather Service has allowed a tornado warning for northwestern Sullivan County in central New York to expire.

Radar had indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado.

The storm was near Roscoe by 1:30 pm; Hazel by 1:35 pm; Livingston Manor by 1:40 p.m.; and Parksville by 1:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service recommends anyone in the path of a tornado, seek shelter in a basement or an interior room away from windows.
