SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

An ad on BackPage.com portrayed a woman as a working girl, a prostitute.  It said, "I am a petite, French, red haired vixen. All I want is to make your every dream come true."

That was false advertising to say the least, a bold-faced lie, because police say she was a prisoner for the pleasure of others, drugged, chocked, beaten and held captive at a hotel for several days and forced to have sex around the clock with multiple men, whoever would pay the price.

26-year-old Deante Brown of Detroit, also known as "Blackface," is behind bars and facing felony sex trafficking charges.

SEMCAC, the Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children Task Force, is always checking BackPage.com and other sites looking for criminals lurking with cruel intent, which led them to the Victory Hotel on Telegraph near Nine Mile on Tuesday. An undercover cop set up a sting operation.

The alleged victim is a former teaching student at Eastern Michigan University down on her luck and homeless, hotel hopping with no one and nowhere to turn after an illness and amputation left her addicted to painkillers. Detectives say she met this man at the hotel and he manipulated her and exploited her already bad situation making it even worse.
