ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta band Granville Automatic is preparing to release a music video filmed at an ice cream shop on the site of the 1864 battle that left the city in flames during the Civil War.

The project is part of an effort to raise awareness about Civil War battlefields across the country.

Mary Koik with the Washington-based Civil War Trust says the 150th anniversary of the Civil War has led to renewed interest in protecting battlefields from development.

This month, the trust began 1 of its largest fundraising efforts to acquire and protect a key part of the Brandy Station Battlefield in Virginia. The group and its partners also plan to convert a strip mall in the Nashville suburb of Franklin into a park where tourists can learn about its history.
