(MyFoxBoston.com) – A new report says the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings is now able to speak and has called his mother in Russia.
Bloomberg says that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev called his mother from the medical facility at Devens, where he's being held. In the six-minute phone call, Tsarnaev told his mom "I am absolutely fine, my wounds are healing. Everything is in God's hands. Be patient. Everything will be fine."
His mother says she's been promised one call a month. She says her son is in shock, was very quiet and is now locked up like a dog.
Tsarnaev was wounded during the battle with police in Watertown. Tamerlan Tsarnaev died following the gunfight.
Tsarnaev faces the death penalty if he's convicted.
