FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -

Three people were injured when a car plunged into Camp Creek in Fulton County on Thursday. An adult and two children were inside the Hyundai when it hydroplaned off of Butner Road into the water.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, 19-year-old driver, Maurice Shanchez King of College Park, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. Two passengers, 2-year-old Trey Morrison and 8-year-old Ethan Roberson, were taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

A tow truck removed the vehicle, which appeared to be a total loss.

The driver is charged with driving too fast for conditions, according to the GSP.

Authorities remind drivers to be careful of standing water on roadways.
