National Caribbean-American Heritage

It's National Caribbean-American Heritage Month and it's time to celebrate Carnival...Caribbean style! To kick off the festivities, we're at Sattdown Jamaican Grill in Studio City with island cuisine, live music from reggae singer Errol Bonnick, costumed dancers and even a Caribbean workout from DailyBurn fitness instructor and dancer Keaira LaShae. I'll be one of the grand marshals at the big parade on Saturday, June 22, so be sure to come by and say hello, mon!

Celebrations include:

Caribbean Family Day Picnic

Saturday, June 15; Noon-6:30pm
Woodley Park in Van Nuys
Have a day of fun at the park with sports, workouts and other physical activities for the entire family.

Caribbean Heritage Gala

Friday, June 21; 6pm-Midnight
Hilton Universal in Universal City
For a night of glamour, head to this gala that salutes Hollywood and the arts with a cocktail reception, silent auction, awards show, plus dinner and dancing.

Los Angeles Culture Festival & Parade

Saturday, June 22; 11am-6pm
Hollywood Blvd & Cherokee Ave
Everyone's invited to enjoy this fun parade with partygoers of all cultures. There is a carnival village after the parade with food, arts & crafts, and live music.

He then left town...after what he called a few "bouts" with the music business, but now he is back with a new EP called ‘Repeat Offender.'
