SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

A get together at a Livonia restaurant is decades in the making for four sisters, finally meeting for the first time after 60 years.

The search for her biological family began when 61-year old Laura Carlson's adopted mother passed away 7 years ago. Before she died, she told Laura about her three sisters, prompting Laura's search.

Within weeks, Laura had results.

"I was absolutely shocked that they found all three sisters living so close within 2 weeks," she tells FOX 2's Erika Erickson.

Living in Livonia, Belleville, Melvindale, and New York, the four sisters finally meet tonight.

Check out the video for the sisters' reactions.
