$10,000 Worth Of Alcohol Stolen From US Open, Police Say

ARDMORE, Pa. -

In Delaware County, some thieves took advantage of some leftovers from the US Open.

Just days after some of the world's best golfers teed off at Merion Golf Club, police say about $10,000 worth of alcohol was swiped!

The booze left over from the tournament was stolen from the trophy club tent just a few hundred yards away from the 18th hole.

So far, there have been no arrests.

    The Coast Guard have suspended an emergency search for a man who went overboard in a boat after he went missing. New Jersey State Police have identified him as 49-year old John J. Poltonowicz.
