Philadelphia homicide detectives are investigating a murder involving a man gunned down while checking out an ATV that he had seen on Craigslist.

It happened just after 11 p.m. Friday on the 1400 block of Walnut Lane in Germantown.

The victim is a 27-year-old man found shot in the face. He died at the scene. Police say the shooter had a white towel on his head.

Police say initial reports show the victim and two other people went to answer a Craigslist ad to look at a four-wheeler that was for sale.

He got out of his vehicle and walked around to look at the ATV. Shortly afterward witnesses heard two gunshots.
