Jimmy Buffett Fans Brave Heat In Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. -

It's an annual tradition. Jimmy Buffet fans flock to Camden to see the legendary singer.

But that's just part of the tradition. Some say the best part is the tailgating!

Thousands of Parrotheads have parked along the Camden waterfront.

Lining up several hours before the big Jimmy Buffett show, fans play games, pour drinks, and just having fun.

"We're having a blast man," said a fan.

"Drinking some refreshments and having fun," said another.

"Jimmy Buffett is always wild. You have people that are 14 and people all the way up to 60," said a third fan.

But staying cool is big too. Tents went up after a heat warning was issued for Camden County.

Many got creative, like the man who dressed in a coconut bra and Hawaiian hula skirt.

"Practically and thankfully my wife and my daughter made this on Father's Day for me," says Joe Gramata.

But will it keep him dry? "Rain is rain. It is, what it is," replied Gramata.

And rain it did.

People had to pack up and hunker down as powerful winds blew in, even blowing trash all around.

But thank goodness, they aren't expecting the rain to mess up the show.

"If it rains it's going to cool everything down and I'll slide right down the hill. I'll be all right with that," describes Gramata.
