Volusia County sheriff's deputies arrested a woman who is accused in an attempted robbery of one of her daughter's friends at a bank ATM.

Tammy Perras, 45, was arrested following the incident which happened late Saturday night at a Bank of America branch at the corner of Normandy Boulevard and Providence Road in Deltona.

According to a report, a 17-year-old girl came to the ATM.  When she returned to her car, she noticed a woman following her.  She said that woman grabbed her by her hair on the back of head, tried to shove her into her own car, and slammed her head against the steering wheel.

That's when the teen told deputies she turned around and made a startling realization.

"I turned around, and I kicked her off of me, and I'm realizing it's my friend's mom!" the girl told a 911 operator.   "As soon as she realized it was me, and she realized I was fighting back, she started begging me not to call the cops on her," she continued.

When deputies arrived, they said they found the woman identified by the teen as her attacker right across the street at a convenience store.

Perras remains in the Volusia County Jail on charges of burglary with assault and robbery.
