Allstate to cut 384 jobs, close Woodridge call center

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Hundreds of people working in the southwest suburbs will soon be out of jobs.

Allstate has announced it is closing its call center in Woodridge and 384 workers will be laid off.

The home and auto insurer says the move is part of its plan to cut costs.

The call center will shut down Aug. 11.

Allstate says it's also eliminating 30 jobs at it's Northbrook headquarters.
