Judy Gold: I Was Addicted To Sitcoms Growing Up

Posted: Updated:

Judy Gold has always dreamt big. Maybe because she is BIG (and by that, we mean tall). This six foot three inch Jewish mother of two has brought her big, critically acclaimed off-Broadway hit to LA's Geffen Playhouse.  A nonstop 85-minute ride, "The Judy Show" is Gold's chance to broadcast her hilarious life story through the sitcoms we all knew and loved.

Judy Gold joins Tony McEwing and Araksya Karapetyan on Good Day L.A.

Fun facts about Judy Gold:

  • She won two Daytime Emmy Awards for her work as a writer and producer on The Rosie O'Donnell Show
  • She first did stand-up on a dare while in college at Rutgers University.
  • She has also started her own (as the show's producer, Meetinghouse Productions Inc., (which also produces World's Dumbest) calls it) docu-comedy series (the first episode of which can be viewed on YouTube) about herself, family, and friends.
