SOUTH LYON, Mich. (WJBK) -

Someone stole a trailer and four wheeler used by Operation Injured Soldiers from a parking lot on Pontiac Trail. It is an organization that helps disabled veterans all over the state.

"We've worked so hard for what we have, and this crime, it's disgusting," said Bryan Johnson with Operation Enduring Freedom.

The Polaris Ranger and black trailer that hauls it are worth over $17,000. It carried veterans who couldn't walk for themselves deep into the woods on hunting trips.

"I hope that the people that took it [see] what they've taken and what they have deprived veterans from," said Korean War veteran Jack Renwick.

"Bring it back, leave it at a police station, leave it somewhere that somebody can give it back to us," said Pam Bigansky with Operation Injured Soldiers.

If you saw anything suspicious, contact South Lyon police.
