CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Former Blackhawks star Chris Chelios was named a first ballot Hall of Famer Tuesday.

No hockey player has ever spent as much times on the ice as Chelios -- 1,655 games over 26 NHL seasons.

In his career, Chelios scored 185 goals while adding 763 assists. He played until he was 48 years old, making him the second oldest player in NHL history.

Chelios came home to play in Chicago after 7 seasons in Montreal and quickly became a fan favorite. He still remains a legend, despite playing more seasons with the hated Detroit Red Wings.
