One person is dead and another is in the hospital after an overnight shooting outside of a nightclub in downtown Atlanta.
It happened in the 200 block of Forsyth Street, where a fight reportedly involving as many as 30 people broke out in a parking lot. Police say a larger group of people began fighting with other people in a smaller group inside of the venue.
Security escorted both groups out of the club, where the altercation continued in the parking lot. As two men possibly connected to the dispute started to drive away, someone fired a gun at them.
Police arrived to find the two injured men. One of the men had suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso, while still managing to walk up to the officers at the scene. He was transported to the hospital and is being questioned by police.
The second man was in his vehicle when he died from injuries, police said.
No names or details about possible suspects have been released.
