ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A Mississippi firefighter whose son punched him in the head, knocking him down, in the parking lot of Dave and Buster's in Orlando has died of a traumatic head injury, authorities say.

Leonard Harris, 52, died Wednesday morning at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, a coroner said.

His son, Taylor Harris, has been charged with aggravated battery and domestic violence by the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say the father and son were in Orlando for a family vacation. On July 7, they got into an argument in the parking lot of Dave and Buster's on International Drive. Taylor Harris became angry because he'd just learned his father was having an affair, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Investigators say that during the argument, the younger Harris punched his father, knocking him down.

Leonard Harris was in critical condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center until he was flown back to Mississippi.

A Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said Taylor Harris' charges likely would be upgraded.
