JONESBORO, Ga. -

Two people were injured after an elderly driver crashed through a building in Clayton County on Thursday.

FOX 5's George Franco reports that the driver was parked in front of the Georgia Power building on Smith Street in Jonesboro. The man, described by witnesses as in his 80s, apparently meant to hit the brake but instead hit the gas and plowed into the building.

A mother and a young child inside the building were pinned by the vehicle. There were no signs of any major injuries, but the young girl was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston as a precaution.

The elderly driver was OK. It is not yet known if he will face charges.
