Atlanta police say the home of Braves legend Hank Aaron was burglarized earlier this week.

An APD incident report says Aaron missed a call from his security alarm company on Sunday night, and he called a neighbor to check on his home on Monday morning.  The neighbor immediately called APD after discovering that a front window in Aaron's home had been broken.

According to the report, police found two alarm panels inside the house had been ripped out, and the wires inside them were cut.

The report says Aaron told police by phone that he had two BMWs in his garage, but both vehicles were missing from the home.  The keys, which Aaron said were stored in a drawer in the kitchen, were also gone.  Later Monday morning, one of the missing BMWs was found.

Police reported glass was scattered both outside the front window and inside the home.  Officers said drawers and closets inside Aaron's house were ransacked, and some jewelry was also missing.
