Suspects caught on camera robbing CVS Pharmacy

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

The Orange County Sheriff's Office hopes the public will watch a security camera surveillance videotape to help solve an armed robbery.

The video shows three suspects who charged into a CVS Pharmacy on South Orange Blossom Trail early Monday morning.  Two guys carried guns, used to intimidate the victims during the robbery.

Investigators say the three criminals trapped a store clerk and a customer inside and held them at gunpoint.

"They were both corralled in the front of the register and one of them was actually hit or battered," said Capt. Angelo Nieves with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The suspects forced the clerk to open the register.  The robbers tried to hide their faces from cameras but the videos offer helpful clues.  Capt. Nieves tells people to watch for clues on the video.

"Their mannerisms, their clothing. How they come in and out, the time of morning about 4:30 in the morning."

Detectives say the robbers emptied the register and stole cash and cell phones from both victims.  Deputies are combing the streets, trying to prevent another scene like this one.

Nieves adds, "They are coming in with two handguns.  Someone could walk in there right while all that is going on and get hurt. We want to get them off the streets."

That CVS has four security cameras inside, one pointed at each register.  Even that was not enough to deter these determined crooks.  Call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477) if you know who they are.
