Rabbi charged yet again with impersonating a cop

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A rabbi from Westchester County has been arrested yet again and charged in a fourth case of allegedly impersonating a police officer, according to New York State Police.

Authorities charged Rabbi Alfredo Borodowski, 49, of White Plains, with second-degree criminal impersonation in connection with an alleged incident on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh in May.

Police said Borodowski followed 30-year-old woman as she drove south on the parkway and stopped behind her when she got off the parkway and stopped at a traffic light. He then got out and banged on her window, flashed a police-style badge, and yelled that he was going to arrest her for driving too slowly, police said.

The woman refused to lower her window as the rabbi continued yelling and banging on the glass, police said.

When the light turned green, he got back in his car and drove off, police said.

Cops said this is the fourth incident in Westchester in which motorists have accused Borodowski of yelling at them while flashing a police shield. He has pleaded not guilty in those other cases.

Cops processed the rabbi and released him to his lawyer, who has said that Borodowski has bipolar disorder.

Borodowski is due in court on August 2 to face a judge on the latest charge.
