Get your motor runnin' at AMS' Global Rally Cross

ATLANTA -

When you're left spinning your wheels in bumper-to-bumper traffic around north Georgia, chances are you might be daydreaming about racing your car at top speeds.

And, while it's not safe for you to do that on local roads and highways, your could still make it happen this week. Where? At the Atlanta Motor Speedway!

A family friendly event called Global Rally Cross awaits and tickets are $20 or less.  It's a first-time event race involving Ford Fiestas speeding across pavement and dirt track at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The actual event is Saturday, but on Friday Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken got a preview of the action by getting inside a car and also watching as crews build the track and teens arrive.
