OCALA, Fla. (WOGX FOX 51) -

Testimony continues in the murder trial of a man accused of being the ringleader in the brutal killing of an Marion County teenager.

Several witnesses have said that Michael Bargo admitted to killing 15-year-old Seath Jackson, making it a difficult case for the defense so far.

On Thursday, the jury heard gruesome details about the condition of Jackson's remains.   After the teen was shot, his body was burned and dismembered, before being placed in large paint buckets and submerged in a lake, detectives say.

The state showed pictures of charred organs and bones.  The boy's parents sat in court holding onto each other as crime scene technicians went through the evidence piece by piece. It was a pretty average day in court, until a witness who was in a holding cell with Bargo on the day he was arrested told the jury that Bargo confessed to killing Jackson.

William Fockler told the jurors Bargo's face looked like he had been beaten.  Fockler asked Bargo what happened.  Fockler said Bargo replied,  "When I was burning that kid Seath's body, I threw a paint can in. It blew up in my face. I was trying to make the fire hotter.'"

Fockler said he asked more questions about how it happened. He said Bargo told him Jackson was attacked almost immediately.

"He said he hit him on the back of the head with a 2 by 4 and put him in a recliner," Fockler said, adding that Bargo told him he shot Jackson three times, put him in the bath tub and when woke up, shot Jackson a fourth time.

Fockler said when he asked Bargo why he would do all of this.  He said Bargo replied, "He raped my girlfriend."

The state is expected to bring more witnesses to the stand.  The defense could start presenting their case as early as Friday.  Bargo may also take the stand.
