LONGWOOD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Hundreds of people packed into the auditorium at Longwood's Northland Church for a tribute to Talia Castellano Sunday night.  Mixed emotions were plain on the faces of many, celebrating what would have been Talia's 14th birthday.

"She would have loved it," Desiree Castellano, Talia's mother told Fox 35. "And it is sad, it's her birthday, but then again I'm just happy that I'm able to show people everything that she accomplished in such a short time."
Talia lost her six year battle with cancer last month.  Desiree wants her daughter's legacy to live on.

"She was funny, she was talented with makeup, and design and inspirational; she had a positive attitude, everything that came in as something negative, she turned into something positive," Desiree said.

Coping with two different forms of cancer before she passed, this remarkable teen became a blood bank spokesperson, flew to Las Vegas to interview celebrities for the I Heart Radio Music Festival, and gained worldwide popularity for her candid makeup videos, which sometimes morphed into candid insights into her rage against cancer.

At Sunday night's tribute people enjoyed dancers, singers, even a mini-fashion show.  Her friends and family are hoping the event will help Talia's unique attitude and inspirational message remain in people's hearts.

Talia's family is working with several charities, to continue raising money and awareness for children with cancer. It's a mission little Talia began before she passed that they are determined to carry on.
