CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

It was a long shot. But he nailed it!

On the first day of classes at Indiana's Ball State University, 18-year-old Markus Burden of Frankfort, Illinois got the chance to shoot a half-court shot for a semester of free tuition.

Guess what? It went in!

The contest was part of a welcome week activity at Ball State, and Markus was selected at random. Out-of-state tuition is valued at $11,084. This is the first time a student has won the prize.

The best part of all of this may be this marketing major's reaction. Now THAT is excitement!

Congratulations Markus!
