Habitat seeking motivated volunteers in Detroit

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (MyFox Detroit) -

7 houses in 7 days. That's what Habitat for Humanity is planning for Detroit's east side. They kicked off the 2013 Fall Blitz today in Detroit

Mayor Dave Bing was there to support the effort in the Morningside Commons Neighborhood, where most of the work will be done.

Habitat for Humanity started to rebuild the Morningside Community in 2006. This year will mark its 100th home to help aid low-income families.

The good deed brings in over 1,000 volunteers every year. Help is still needed for Friday, August 23rd & Saturday, August 24th. Click here to sign up.
