Dodger Fever: Get On The Bandwagon Folks!

Dodger Fever: Get On The Bandwagon Folks!

Posted: Updated:

Coby Goodman is a real sport! A story was circulating that businesses in the area of Dodger Stadium were doing big business because the Dodgers are a red hot or maybe I should say blistering blue! Coby knows when the stadium is packed with happy fans the Dodger Love spills over into his cash register.

Oh, the loyal fans are... loyal fans! But, there is something he calls "the bandwagon effect" which is just exactly what the phrase says. When a team is hot everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon! It's happened with every team in this town. Remember the Kings chase to the Stanley Cup. Everyone was suddenly a hockey fan!

Now, it's the Dodgers turn. And, Goodman says, it's really noticeable because last year and early in this season when the Dodgers weren't so hot neither was business. Restaurants are buzzing with customers too! A manager at a nearby pizza place told me their business is up big time and expected a big weekend with the Boston Red Sox in town.

Back to Coby Goodman being a good sport! When I got my assignment at 2am I found a Facebook page for Goodman's sports apparel store called "Bling Circus" and sent him an email. He just happened to wake up, saw my message and gave me a call. Next thing the San Fernando Valley resident knew he was headed to his store. Maybe it was a bit of my power of persuasion, but really... Goodman is just a nice guy! His Facebook page is facebook.com/blingcircus. Thanks Coby!
