Normal guys pose for 'dudeoir' photo sessions

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Lionel Nozario, an author and self-defense trainer from Brooklyn, is not a model. He's just a normal guy posing for, what's called "dudeoir."

"Dudeoir" is a play on the term "boudoir," when women pose in lingerie. In this case, the new trend, involves men stripping down to their skivvies. Lionel says his girlfriend got him to do the dudeoir.

Dudeoir may bring a smile to some, and, perhaps for "Seinfeld" lovers, memories of George Costanza's photo shoot.

But Catherine Leonard, of Catherine Leonard Photography in Manhattan, says that NYC Dudeoir that she and her husband started in june, is raining men.

I have to say, I was intrigued. So I decided to do a Dudeoir shoot myself. I took the tie clip off, the jacket, too, and then it was time to get to work.

But, no, I did not strip down to my boxers. Sorry, I'm more comfortable in a suit.

Making New York City more energy efficient

More than half the population of New York City rides public transportation to work. No other metropolis in this country even approaches that percentage or the MTA's total number of riders. For that reason, New York likely ranks as the most energy-efficient city in the nation. But what would it take to make the city even more energy-efficient or even self-sufficient?

NYC woman finds wedding dress lost after Sandy

When a New York City dry cleaners was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy, the only item to survive was Nicole Pagliaro's wedding dress. But her name was lost to owner Hector Pacheco, who reopened after more than a year and in a new location. Pagliaro had brought the dress to him after her 2012 wedding. When the storm swamped and shuttered the Staten Island store, she assumed it was lost. But two weeks ago, she took a different route to work and spotted it in the window.
