Fifty years ago Wednesday, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain, Georgia".  And so today, bells rang out in honor of the speech, and what Stone Mountain now symbolizes 50 years later.

It was that reference to Stone Mountain that brought hundreds to the summit on Wednesday afternoon.  At 3 p.m., the hour of Dr. King's famous speech, they listened again to his words, and let the bells ring.

Sen. Emanuel Jones (D-Decatur), who is the chairman of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Advisory Council, was on hand for the event.

FOX 5's Doug Evans was there, and he has the complete story.  Click on the video above to watch it!
