BEAR, Del. -

The Delaware state fire marshal is investigating the cause of a two-alarm apartment fire in New Castle County.

The fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Canterbury Apartments in Bear.

One person became trapped inside but was quickly rescued by firefighters.

More than 100 firefighters were called to the scene.

One of the residents tells FOX 29 that the fast-moving flames destroyed all of her belongings. She says she didn't hear a fire alarm, and that her boyfriend helped her neighbors get out of the building.

The man rescued from the third floor was taken to a hospital. His condition was not immediately released. There were no other reports of serious injuries.

Several displaced residents are being helped by the American Red Cross.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley reported live from the scene Tuesday morning on what investigators know at this point.
