PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter responds to ads that criticize his handling of public school funding, by shooting videos of his own.

The Philadelphia Federation of Teachers launched an ad campaign last week. The campaign blasts Nutter, claiming he sided with Governor Tom Corbett, as he cut funding.

Mayor Nutter shot back, calling the ads deceptive.

And today, he released five videos that lay out the ways he's worked to secure funding. This afternoon, he talked about the distractions being created by the "dueling messages on tape." He also talks about funding for education, raised through taxes.

Late this afternoon, the president of the Philadelphia Federal of Teachers, responded.

Jerry Jordan says, "We applaud the mayor's stated goal of creating a comprehensive plan to provide a sustainable funding source for our schools. But unfortunately, he has failed to take advantage of his opportunity to lead, either in Philadelphia or Harrisburg, to make that funding source a reality."

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
