There was a scary incident at Wrigley Field Wednesday when a young boy was hit by a bat that flew into the stands during the Cubs/Marlins game.
The Cubs say Marlins player Giancarlo Stanton swung at a ball and lost control of the bat. The boy's father blocked it with his arm, but part of it hit the boy on the chin.
The Cubs say the boy was checked out by first aid, then the family went back to watch the rest of the game. The boy is expected to be okay.
Police are investigating the murder of a homeless man who was beaten to death in an alley in Logan Square.
