WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) -- Authorities in northeastern Pennsylvania say two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a toddler in New York City over the weekend.

Police say the New York residents, who are being called persons of interest, were taken into custody without incident at the Sherman Hills complex at about 6:30 a.m. Friday. No charges were immediately filed.

Authorities in New York say Antiq Hennis was being pushed in a stroller by his mother and father while crossing a street in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn about 7:20 p.m. Sunday when multiple shots were fired.

They say the child was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the left side of his face and was later pronounced dead.
