Cora Hill has been running for more than ten years now, inspired after the death of her son. She was out walking his dog, when the dog took off running and she had to chase after him. She found comfort in the exercise, and kept at it.

She ran her first marathon at age 55, and since then has ran in 17 marathons total and 11 half marathons, placing in several of them.

Hill is a personal trainer and also spends her time training and inspiring others.

Hill has inspired many in the Southfield community and continues to set goals for herself. She is currently training for The Detroit Free Press Half Marathon. She has already ran it at least ten times before, but wants to beat her record-time of two hours and one minute.
