ATLANTA -

Two families affected by similar tragedies had a heartfelt meeting inside a hospital room in northeast Atlanta on Friday.

Tripp Halstead and his family visited the family of Tristen Wilson at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

Wilson is recovering from critical injuries after a tree fell and struck him in the head last month.

Tripp was critically injured last year when a tree limb hit him in the head outside his Winder daycare.

Both boys have made remarkable recoveries. Tristen is fresh from reconstructive surgery on his skull.

The Halsteads' offered encouragement to the Wilson family. Both boys are facing a long road to recovery.
