The good news is Dodger playoff tickets will go on sale on September 20th, the first time the team will be in the post season since waaaaaaay back in 2009. The bad news is there won't be a lot of them.
The Dodgers don't like to talk specific numbers, but in a stadium with 56,000 seats about 33,000 are season ticket holders. They get to buy playoff tickets and some extras, then there's the allocations to players, families, the teams, the leagues, the corporate sponsors, etc. so there are probably a few thousand tickets available to the public for the Division series and presumably the NLCS. Prices will range from $30, to $190, plus the ridiculous $6 per ticket service charge. If you register on Dodgers.com you can win the right to buy tickets before they go on sale on Sep 20th !!!! and in a clever bit of marketing from the suits in blue if you commit now to buying season tickets for 2014 you will automatically be given an opportunity to buy playoff ticket (hey.. premium vip lexus dugout club season tix are only $ 21,000 per… but you get free food with that!!!)
What about the World Series you ask ? Well.. probably NO tickets for the public.. the website registration will result in some lucky folks being selected and given the opportunity to buy them at prices that top out at $350… so that's good.. but let's not get to far ahead of ourselves. (I'm proposing for all the ladies out there who can define the infield fly rule that they be included in the lottery ) I'll be live at the stadium at 5p to sort all this out… and there's a ton of info here on our website and at the post season tab on www.dodgers.com
