HALL COUNTY, Ga. -

Officials say a 20-year-old man died at Lake Lanier Islands in the Sunset Cove area on Tuesday.

According to Melissa Cumming of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Marquise Connor-Blunt was with some friends attempting to swim from the beach area at Sunset Cove to a nearby dock.  About halfway through the 100 yard swim, Connor-Blunt told friends he couldn't make it. They attempted to turn around, but Connor-Blunt was unable to make it.

Hall County Fire and Rescue crews recovered the body around 4:35 p.m. He was transported to Northeast Ga. Medical Center, but was pronounced dead.

Authorities said that no foul play is suspected.
