ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Orlando City commissioners on Monday approved raises for themselves, though the increase was not as steep as initially proposed.

Instead of a roughly 21 percent increase in salaries, city leaders agreed to a 6 percent increase.

Mayor Buddy Dyer offered an amendment to reduce the raise, which included a 4 percent salary adjustment, plus the 2 percent raise which was proposed for all Orlando workers.

Two commissioners, Tony Ortiz and Robert Stuart, voted against the increase.
