Traffic delayed after train hits truck

Posted: Updated:
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A train struck a dump truck around 6:20 a.m. in downtown Orlando.  While there were no injuries, the crash did delay travel times for morning commuters and Lynx buses.

The collision happened on Amelia Ave., between Orange Ave and Garland.  Major intersections such as Colonial Drive were closed for period of time, but the scene was cleared and traffic was moving by mid-morning.

The truck was unoccupied at the time of the crash.  Both the train and truck received damage from the collision, and repairs to the train need to be completed before it could proceed.
