Hank Aaron: Braves will win World Series

ATLANTA -

Baseball legend Hank Aaron predicts that the Atlanta Braves will go all the way this year.

The home run king says this year's Braves team has what it takes to win the World Series, but added that they also have some bad points.

"We led the league in strike outs, but yet we lead the league in runs batted in," Aaron said. "We led the league in home runs and yet we led the league in percentages first pitches."

In the postseason, Aaron said the slate is wiped clean.

"Nothing's wrong with being the underdogs really, to be honest with you. I don't mind that because once the teams get between these two white lines, they are equal," Aaron said.

The Hall of Famer says the Braves just need to be mentally ready for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"Los Angeles is going to come in here and throw their best pitchers at you," Aaron said. "Whoever is the next team is going to throw their best pitchers, and if you're not ready mentally to go out there and face those guys, then you are going to be second best."

Hammerin' Hank says the Braves pitching continues to be strong and  he believes outfielder Jason Heyward could be the difference.

"I would say if we didn't have Jason Heyward, I don't think that we would win a tough series," Aaron said. "He carries a lot of weight, especially in that leadoff spot."

Aaron said he'll be at Turner Field for the first game of the playoffs on Thursday.

"My prediction is the Braves are going to win it all," Aaron said.
