Nacho Figueras: Playing Polo Is The Big Passion Of Mine

Nacho Figueras: Playing Polo Is The Big Passion Of Mine

Posted: Updated:

You'd think they never saw a good-looking guy. Lisa Breckenridge and Maria Sansone of Good Day L.A., both very married and Maria very pregnant.

Did that stop them from acting like teenagers as they interviewed Nacho Figueras, the handsome and virile polo player?  Nope.

They ooh'ed and aah'ed as Nacho told them about the upcoming fourth annual Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic, which happens this Saturday at Will Rogers State Park.

Watch the interview.  You'll enjoy it.  Maybe not as much as Lisa and Maria enjoyed doing it, but it's worth seeing.

Fun Facts About Nacho Figueras (Source: Wikipedia)

  • He is an Argentine polo player. As of September 2009, he is ranked as one of the top 100 polo players in the world. Sometimes called the "David Beckham of polo", he usually plays in Argentina and in the U.S. as part of the Black Watch Polo Team. He has also been the face of Ralph Lauren's Black Label line since 2005, and was recently chosen to represent the entire line of Polo fragrances.
  • In models.com he is ranked No. 4 on Top Icons Men
  • When he was approached by the photographer Bruce Weber 12 years ago, at a dinner party held by Kelly Klein, ex-wife of Calvin, in The Hamptons, he hoped modelling might help him buy more squirrelly mounts. "Then I realised that I could make extra money, and raise awareness of the sport."
  • In June 2009, he was voted the second most handsome man in the world by the readers of Vanity Fair with 15% of the vote, far behind Robert Pattinson, who drew 51%, and ahead of Brad Pitt, who drew 12%.

The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic will be held at Will Rogers State Park on Saturday, October 5th.
