Emily Helck's time-lapse video of her year battling cancer has more than 100,000 views online. The 29-year-old artist from New Jersey was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. She says she is now doing well and recovering.

She wants women to know that breast cancer does not have to be a death sentence. Emily is also hoping her experience will educate people about what actually does happen when you're battling breast cancer. She says you gain weight because of the steroids.

Unfortunately, Emily had faced cancer before. Her husband was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma a few years ago. Thankfully, now he is doing well.

Just how determined is Emily? With everything she went through this past year, she still managed to complete her master's degree in English. She is an extraordinary young woman.
