Vanessa Lachey: This Is My Dream Job

Vanessa Lachey: This Is My Dream Job

Posted: Updated:

If Vanessa Lachey ever was a party girl, those days are a distant memory.

Now she's a wife and a mom and working at what she calls her 'dream job,' playing Giovanni Ribisi's wife and Martin Mull's daughter-in-law on the new FOX sitcom, "Dads."

"This is my dream job for a multitude of reasons," Vanessa explains to Steve Edwards and Maria Sansone on Good Day L.A.  The biggest reason is her son with husband Nick Lachey, Camden John Lachey, who turned one year old on September 12.

"Now that I am a mother in real life, it allows me the schedule to kiss my son goodbye in the morning, come home and give him a bath, feed him dinner, give him a bottle, a song, swaddle, story at night."

And Vanessa says she's just fine with that schedule.  "We grow up, you know. Your life changes, your priorities change. My number-one priority in my life is my family, closely followed by my passion, which is this job." "The sun isn't even up yet," when she leaves for work, "but I'm happy to go there and be on set" with her co-stars, including Seth Green, Giovanni Ribisi, Martin Mull and Peter Riegert.
