Detectives: Convicted sexual predator cut off GPS monitor

Posted: Updated:

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in locating Jeffrey Bailey, a convicted sexual predator accused of cutting off his GPS ankle monitor on October 11, in the area of Old Tampa Highway in Kissimmee.

Bailey was convicted in March 2002 on a lewd and lascivious act on a child under the age of 16.  He first registered as a sexual predator in September 2010.  Since his release from prison in 2010, he has been on state probation.

Detectives obtained a warrant for failing to report residence change and failing to report vacating permanent residence.  In addition, Bailey has an active parole violation which will result in a no bond status once he is arrested.

Anyone with information about Bailey's whereabouts is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).  Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 dollars.
