After weeks of political back and forth between Republicans and Democrats -- a compromise was finally reached and President Obama signed it into law shortly before midnight Wednesday.
The bill that was passed will fund the government through Jan. 15. It also averts a U.S. default through at least Feb. 7.
A number of Republicans crossed party lines to agree on this bill. Here are the local lawmakers that voted "for" the bill: Republican Representative Dan Webster, Democratic Senator Bill Nelson and Democratic Representatives Alan Grayson and Corrine Brown.
The big names who voted against the bill include: Republican Senator Marco Rubio and Republican Representatives John Mica and Ron Desantis.
