PHILADELPHIA -

Wondering what to do with your kids this weekend? Why not just let them play?

A new study says that children are happier doing simple things, like riding their bike or finger-painting, as opposed to those structured activities like organized sports or dance classes.

It's the easy and traditional things that kids love most.

Clarks Shoemakers commissioned the research and compiled a seasonal list of activities that kids prefer.

Researchers claim that these are the top five favorite activities of kids:

1. Climbing a tree

2. Making a sock puppet

3. Baking

4. Painting a picture

5. Carving a Halloween pumpkin
